University & Professional Involvement

Eastern business students have many opportunities to grow in terms of university involvement and professional development. The following clubs and groups provide students with a chance to interact with professionals in their fields, with each others and the larger community.

Eastern Accounting Society (EAS)

EAS provides its members with accounting experience and opportunities outside of the classroom. Active participation in events allows students informal and formal contact with accounting professionals. The Accounting Society encourages the professional and personal development of an individual by enhancing communication and organizational skills; as well as developing a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.

American Humanics Student Association (AHSA)

The AHSA/ECSU is an organization dedicated to providing its membership with cultural and social co-curricular opportunities with the intent of enriching the student's professional leadership potential in the field of nonprofit youth and human service administration in conjunction with American Humanics and Eastern Connecticut State University.

Association
(AMA)

A major goal of the Easter Chapter of the AMA is to develop the chapter into one of the most predominate, resourceful, and involved organizations on campus by bringing prominent guest speakers to campus, fundraising to support AMA events, participating in educational events, and performing community service.

Information 
Technology
Professionals
(AITP)

AITP's mission is to give individuals in the Business Information Systems and Computer Systems programs and courses an opportunity to gather information regarding developments in the Information Systems and Technology fields, in their future careers, and facilitate professional networking. Guest speakers provide opportunities to learn about new system and technology practices.

Institute of Management Accountants (IMA)

IMA provides its members with accounting expertise, opportunities, and networking experiences outside of the classroom.  IMA also encourages the professional and personal development of an individual by enhancing communication and organizational skills.

Entrepreneurs Pursuing Business Excellence (EPBE)

Entrepreneurs Pursuing Business Excellence is an organization consisting of future entrepreneurs striving to better acquire the knowledge and skills in organizing, operating and assuming the risk of a business venture.

Study Abroad
