Art and Culture Series |
This exciting annual event is hosted by the CCE and organized by students to teach local elementary school kids about a different culture and region through a variety of fun activities and games.

Alternative Spring Break Trip: Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief

For the second year in a row, Eastern students are going on an Altnerative Spring Break Trip! This year, students assisted with disaster relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey.

Alternative Break Trip: Environmental Sustainability
|
Not only did we have one trip, but two this Spring Break!
Student went to Patchaug State Forest to participate in projects about environmental sustainability, including hiking the Appalachian Trail for a day and building log/lumber bridges!

Windham High School Field Day |
Remeber Field Day from when you were in school?
Eastern students are organizing a Field Day for high school students in the Windham High School Afterschool Program for this Spring!
Activities will include various games such as three-leg races and an Olympics style format!

Service Expo and Awards |
The 2013 Service Expo gave us the opportunitie to recognize and thank all of our volunteers and Student Leaders for thier service work this 2012-2013 year.
The format of the Service Expo is a poster presentation gallery. Faculty, staff, students and community members judged the projects on a variety of areas. Judges then selected a winner in a variety of activities.
We also recognized various students, faculty, staff, and community partners for their achievements of this year during the Service Awards ceremony.

Town Pride Town Wide |
Town Pride Town Wide is Eastern and Willimantic's annual community beautification and gardening day. Projects included beautifying various areas around town in preparation for spring and summer festivities as well as tending to gardens through planting, weeding, etc. Members from the Willimantic, Eastern, and UCONN communities came together for this event and it is one that everyone looks forward to it every year. |
Dumpster Diversion |
Don't know what to do with your garbage this year? Have perfectly good spoons, microwaves, plates, and clothes that you no longer want?
Our Dumpster Diversion is taking place!
Last chance to drop off or exchange goods is in Nutmeg Monday, May 13th from 10am-12pm and 1-5pm!
