NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Eastern Connecticut State University defense never allowed the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth to score as many as two goals in a row in downing the Corsairs for the 11th straight time, 14-5, in a Little East Conference match Tuesday night

Eastern (9-6, 2-2 Little East) ends a three-game losing streak with its 18th win over UMass in this 21-game series.
The Warriors were never headed after scoring the first three goals, then wrapped up the victory by scoring the final three. UMass (5-8, 0-3 Little East) was never allowed to score as many as two successive goals and was limited to only two goals in the first half.
Senior attack Ashley Prizio (Brookfield) scored four of her season-high five goals in the first half and added three assists ini the game for a season-high eight points, and sophomore attack Erin Conn (Moriches, NY) had three goals and two assists and won eight draws in the match. Junior midfielder Daniela Marchitto (Orange) netted her conference-leading 45th and 46th goals of the season.
Senior goalie Kristianna Ibsen (Shelton) was credited with three first-half saves and senior Amber Petrizzo (Plainville) made two saves and gave up only one goal over the final 21 minutes.
Eastern hosts the University of Southern Maine Saturday at 3 p.m. on Seniors' Day and closes out the regular season Wednesday with a conference game at Western Connecticut at 4 p.m.
