A special one-half hour edition of Eastern Athletics Weekly will air on LittleEast.tv at 4 p.m. Friday from the Murray Center on the campus of Rhode Island College previewing the Little East Conference men's basketball semifinal matchup between No. 2 seed Eastern Connecticut State University (19-7) and No. 3 seed Keene State College (16-10), which gets underway at 8 p.m. Eastern Athletics Weekly co-host and basketball commentator Nick Aconfora (interviewing Mike Garrow above) will host the program, which is devoted to that night's LEC tournament game between the Warriors and Owls. In photo above are five of the key players in the game: Eastern's Garrow (31), Brian Salzillo (10) and Chris Robitaille (background) and Keene's Tre'Tipton and 6-foot-8 inch Montel Walcott (1). Eastern will play without starters Joe Ives (knee injury) and Tyler Hundley (concussion). Ives was lost for his career Jan. 30 against Wesleyan and Hundley left Tuesday's LEC first-round win over Western Connecticut in the opening minutes. Keene's Eric Fazio, one of three 1,000-point scorers for the Owls, is expected to return to action after sitting out two games after being knocked out of the February 13 game against Eastern due to a concussion. Aconfora will be the analyst for veteran LEC play-by-play commentator John Cabral on both of Friday's semifinal games, and will provide play-by-play and work with Rhode Island College's Matt Lopes on Saturday's 5 p.m. championship game. All three tournament games will be broadcast live and later archived on LittleEast.tv.
