This week's edition of Eastern Athletics Weekly -- hosted by Nick Aconfora and Nick Minutelli -- will preview the 2013 fastpitch softball season with head coach Diana Pepin and senior All-America third baseman Arielle Cooper (shown above). The show will get underway at 12:30 p.m. and will be streamed live and later archived on www.littleeast.tv. Coming off a record-breaking 44-3 season, the Warriors return seven starters in their quest for a sixth straight NCAA tournament and a fourth straight Little East Conference championships. Eastern is ranked No. 1 in the pre-season conference poll and sixth in the most recent NFCA Division III national poll. The Warriors open their 37th intercollegiate season with ten games in six days March 22-27 at Clermont, FL. The hosts will also review the spring season to this point and look ahead to upcoming games, including Wednesday's women's lacrosse home match against Wesleyan University at the Mansfield Outdoor Complex.
