The Nazi Aftermath in Central Europe: History, the Media, and the Holocaust

Approximate Cost: $2925

Professor César D. Beltran (Communications) will be leading a group of students to Budapest in the heart of Central Europe.

When:May 28 - June 10, 2013

Where: Budapest, Hungary

Course Objective: To investigate how the

present-day Hungarian media represents the Holocaust

What to Expect: 

Lectures held at the Budapest campus of McDaniel College and given by specialists from renowned European academic Institutions.

Visits to the state-run television network, Budapest's Jewish Quarter, the Dohany Street Synagogue.

An overnight excursion to the Nazi concentration camp located in Mauthausen, Austria.

On Tuesday, March 12, Associate Dean of Continuing Education at Eastern Connecticut State University Carol Williams and Nancy Gould, a current part-time continuing education student, will be on the Fox 61-TV Morning Extra show at 9 a.m. to discuss Eastern's new "Reverse Internship" program.
