Dr. Darren Robert, Dr. Ann Gruenberg, and Julia DeLapp appeared on the Wayne Norman show on WILI-am to discuss the importance of physical play. The three discussed the Center for Early Childhood Education's work to identify the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional benefits of physical and outdoor play for young children. On the show, faculty provided tips for parents and teachers to promote more active play for children from birth to age five, and discussed videos available on the CECE website that show activities parents and teachers can do with young children. The show aired December 2, 2010 and was part of an effort to share information developed for a project the CECE did in collaboration with Head Start Body Start.
