The Theatre program offers many opportunities for students to work on-stage, backstage and front-of-house through classes, independent studies and practicum work (within the curriculum) and on full-length major productions, one-acts, original plays and staged readings (co-curricular). Students can also join an active Drama Society. Students perform regularly in the black-box Harry Hope Theatre, which houses computerized lighting, computerized surround sound, and telescope flexible seating. Performances in other sites throughout the campus are offered as well.

Local collaborations include Children's Theatre and Reader's Theatre with schools within Windham and Tolland counties; statewide touring productions; regional theatre such as the annual off-Broadway showcase of student talent in New York City; and the Summer School in London program. Guest artist residencies are also built into the theatre program each semester.
